Hello Brothers and Sisters,

                    As you know our current collective bargaining agreement with Verizon does not expire until August, 2019, a little less then 15 months from now.

However Verizon, CWA and IBEW are jointly announcing today that we will be entering into two weeks of bargaining beginning June 18,2018 to determine whether it is possible to agree on terms of a contract extension. We will keep you posted on further developments.

LOCAL 2101 HELD A MERGER VOTE ON MAY 17, 2018 AND THE VOTE BY THE MEMBERSHIP APPROVED THE MERGER GOING FORWARD

WITH MEMBERS FROM BOTH LOCALS VOTING FOR APPROVAL THE MERGER  WAS SUCCESSFUL AND WILL BE COMPLETE ON JUNE 30,2018

BEGINNING JULY 1, 2018 WE WILL BE ONE LOCAL UNDER THE 2100 NAME

The CPS Award for plan year 2017 is $709.00. The award will be pro-rated for part-time employees and those employees who participated for more than 3 months but less than 12 months in the plan year. Associates will receive an email on March 2nd advising them of the award amount and that it will be paid in their March 9, 2018 paychecks.
